Paydown

UX/UI Design. Wireframing. Prototyping. Branding.

A simple solution for tracking and paying off debt. Paying off debt is important but can be overwhelming. Getting a grasp on where you’re at financially is the first step to financial freedom. This app makes it easy to see and allows for interactivity based on your budget changes to be more or less aggressive in debt payoff tracking.

Ideate & Discover

Don’t we all want financial freedom? In talking to multiple individuals about their financial situation, I learned most of them didn’t know how much debt they had, how much they were paying or how long it would take them to pay off the loans. All they knew was that they had them. Paydown was born after these discussions. A little investigating to find out your principle, interest rate, minimum monthly payment and Paydown will do the rest to show you how quickly your financial freedom can be obtained!

Wireframe & Flow

Based on initial research and conversations, I knew I had to make the complicated process to becoming debt-free simple and digestible.

• Simple color scheme and graphical representation
• Intuitive flow to changing information as financial situations change
• Data driven information with sprinkled in motivation.

Design & Iterate

After creating wireframes and information collected, I had enough base to start design. A brand/style guide and system demonstrating the look and feel was created in this stage. Keeping usability in mind, I selected colors differing from one another that would make graphs and charts easy to comprehend and pleasant to look at to make using this app an enjoyable and informational experience.

Measure & Analyze

Creating prototypes from high-fidelity mock-ups came after I had designs executed. After several iterations, I was ready to test this app on users. I utilized ProtoPie to create interactive prototypes for this phase of the project. Overall feedback was that this app is an excellent, visually pleasing solution to getting a grasp on debt and how easy or difficult it will be to pay down.
